Polaroid vs. Instagram Pics @ Zakynthos

Creativity never stopps, but sometimes it hides. This did not happen to me during my holidays that I spent at Vassilikos in Zakynthos in July though. Zakynthos is a Greek Islands in the Ionion Sea and Vassilikos is a small village full of creativity and love of life besides mass tourism. The „Sommerakademie“ (SOAK) has its residency there, an institution that brings together people from all ages that sing, perform, draw, paint, write, dance, do yoga and other stuff that influences body & mind. It’s a place for creativity, new experiences, new people and relaxation for your soul.

Besides singing, writing and dancing I did make my own foto project there. I recently bought a Polaroid camera (Polaroid „OneStep 2“) and a color film and decided to make only one picture per day to tell my personal holiday story at SOAK. I also took a picture with the same motive with my iPhone 8 camera and put it on Instagram with filters. I won’t write the story the pictures tell down for you, I just give them titles. It’s art. And art is never perfect (for those moaning about the pretty unperfect polaroid picture of my sunset).

And here the story begins:
